
I had a very minimal restoration (light cleaning and 2 pc stem) done and have left the patina in the condition I found it. Overall watch is in very nice working condition for its age. I do not believe the band to be original and may have been added in possibly the 40′s. Watch Band is Vintage Lenox (hallmark is Lenox inside a triangle) Ladies Black Cord butterfly clasp Watch Band. Under Lupe magnification there is what appears to be a small hairline crack on face running from second hand to between VIII and IX. There are some other dates and numbers hand etched inside case lid likely from serving? M-10-43 and some AXXXXXX numbers. Serial Number 14503176 This serial number according to chart found showing production dates puts the watch being manufactured between 1905 to 1906. Movement is 15 Jewel American Waltham Watch Co. 20 year Gold Filled Case serial number 5476016 this puts the watch case pre 1924 “Star” Pre-1924 Gold-Filled, guaranteed for 20 years as late as November 1906. Jeweler indicated that watch was from the Early 1900′s American Waltham Company in a Star Watch Case Co. Had jeweler clean, adjust and put a new 2 pc crown in watch.
